“Remember Me” Is A Romantic And Dramatic Film
Movie Review Jackie K Cooper
“Remember Me” (Summit Entertainment)
Pattinson’s Second Bite Out of the Box Office
Robert Pattinson rose to fame as the star of the two “Twilight” movies. Those films highlighted his looks but not his acting talents. He gets a chance to display these skills in his new film “Remember Me.” His co-star in this movie is “Lost” participant Emilie de Raven.
In this new movie Pattinson plays a twenty-one year old man named Tyler. Tyler has a lot of conflict in his life caused by the death of an older brother, the divorce of his parents, and his responsibilities to his younger sister. He lives with a roommate named Aiden (Tate Ellington) and audits college courses.
Through a series of events he meets a young woman named Ally (de Ravin) and they begin seeing each other. Ally has her own set of problems as her mother was murdered right in front of her eyes in a subway mugging ten years previously. This loss has caused her father (Chris Cooper) to be overly protective.
Ally immediately fits in with Tyler’s family. His mother (Lena Olin, stepfather (Gregory Jbarra) and sister (Ruby Jerins) welcome her with open arms primarily on the premise that if she is good for Tyler she is good for them. Ally tries to help Tyler with his relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) but it remains difficult.
The most important and fascinating part of the film is that you believe these characters are who they profess to be. There is not one false note struck among them. Plus this is one of the most romantic movies, in a dramatic way, that has been offered by Hollywood in some time.
Pattinson is totally impressive as Tyler. He has a brooding restlessness about him that should add even more screaming girls to his legion of fans. Plus this role should lead to more offers of serious parts coming his way. Opposite him de Ravin kicks aside her mannerisms from Claire on “Lost” and creates a totally new character. Ally has depth and demons just like Tyler and de Ravin brings every one to the surface.
Olin is vulnerable as Tyler’s mother while Ellington is only mildly annoying as Aiden, a role that was written to be annoying. Cooper seethes with intensity as Ally’s father while Brosnan is icily businesslike as Tyler’s father. It is his best role in years and manages to wipe out some of the bad memories of his performances in “Mama Mia!” and “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.”
Giving Pattinson and de Ravin a run for their money in the best acting contest is Jerins. She makes her role as Caroline the heart of the movie. She is quietly sad and emotionally tender. She is also fascinating to watch. There should be big roles ahead for this talented young actress.
The movie is rated PG-13 for profanity, violence and sexual situations.
There is a twist at the end of this film which some have found to be interesting and appropriate while others have found it offensive. I thought it was a very fitting way to end the movie.
“Remember Me” is a movie I will remember and I think you will too. It certainly heralds new aspects to the acting careers of Pattinson and de Ravin, and it introduces a star of tomorrow in Ruby Jerins.”
I scored “Remember Me” an unforgettable 7 out of 10.

Summit Entertainment has provided us with a Robert Pattinson on set interview and a ton of behind the scenes footage from Remember Me. While I generally don’t post studio provided interviews, I know how popular Robert Pattinson is, and the 9 minute interview isn’t online yet.
And regarding the behind the scenes footage…when a movie is filming, the studio will document the process and release what’s called B-Roll. This is generally footage of the cast and crew working on location, or footage of the cast filming a scene. If you’re curious what being on a movie set is really like, you’ll enjoy the footage. Remember Me stars Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper. Allen Coulter directed the film and William Fetters wrote the script.

Some people may be offended by these pic’s while other think it was very tastefully done. As for me , I can look past the super skinny nude models and focus on Rob.
The interview is funny and a certain comment has been the topic of may a conversation this week.
New Eclipse pics.
Yes they are out there.
Yes there was a leg hitch ,a ring box , Bella trying to seduce poor Edward and a steamy kiss in the meadow but because these are thought to be leaked most sites removed them after only a few hours, including myself.
There are those who still have them posted but I do not want Summit on my back.
Breaking Dawn News
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have not signed up for fifth Twilight film.
We’ve already heard rumours that Twilight directors are considering splitting the final film, Breaking Dawn, in two.
But now it’s been revealed that the film’s top stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have not actually signed on for a fifth installment.
In fact the rising Hollywood hot stars have only signed an agreement for four films, and would have to renegotiate their deals if an extra flick was added.
Pierce Brosnan – “Robert Pattinson is a great lad”
‘He’s got his head on his shoulders,’ Brosnan says of the ‘Twilight’ star.
The rabid fans with their cell phone cams and ear-splitting screams. The frenzy over a rumored run-in with a moving taxi cab. The daily perils and pleasures of working in the Big Apple. As all this by-now-familiar madness surrounded Robert Pattinson on the New York City set of “Remember Me” last year, co-star Pierce Brosnan couldn’t help but want to shield his fellow actor.
“I play his dad and there’s a part of you, as a dad — you feel protective toward the fellow,” Brosnan told MTV News.
Even the man behind four James Bond films had a hard time processing the fan and paparazzi circus that surrounded the production each day. “It was really bizarre,” he told MTV News. “We were filming in Central Park South and the caravans are there and mine was very quiet and sedate and I’m reading my book and having a nice cup of coffee. Down the other end was Robert with 6,000 girls. I’ve never encountered such a thing.”
Brosnan would make his way from his trailer to set, waving to fans and reveling in some of the attention that still comes his way after years of portraying the world’s most dapper super spy. Then RPattz would arrive.
“By the time I walked up the steps of the plaza, he’d be coming up behind me and there’d be this cacophony, this blistering sound barrier of girls,” he laughed. “They just love him to bits and he’s a great lad.”
The older actor credited the younger one with taking an active role in his career, moving from simply acting to also producing — a move that Brosnan said should lead to a long and successful stay in Hollywood. “He acquits himself really well and he’s got his head on his shoulders,” Brosnan said. “He’s an executive producer on this movie and so, grace under pressure, he’ll move right through this period and have a great time. Just enjoy it. Give a little, get a lot.”
Rob to present at the BAFTAS
Water for Elephants
Despite widespread Internet rumors stating that a certain vampire will visit Ithaca this summer, no production plans for the movie Water for Elephants will be confirmed until April, according to University Press Officer Blaine Friedlander.
“If they are going to film [Water for Elephants] here, we would love to have them and we would love to cooperate,” Friedlander said.
After rumors began to spread, the University called Fox 2000, the production company that won a bidding war to film the movie, but nothing final has been planned, according to Friedlander.
I think that about cover it. Have a great weekend . 🙂
Pierce Brosnan Shows Robert Pattinson How to Be Mr. Sociable
By Tim Nudd
Robert Pattinson is not exactly known for being overly gregarious with his fans in public. But who knows – that could change if he keeps hanging out with Pierce Brosnan.
The two actors worked together in the upcoming film Remember Me, and in their downtime together, the former James Bond, 56, mentored the young Twilight heartthrob in the art of handling the gawking masses.
“He’s totally recognizable, and he makes no effort to tone it down,” Pattinson tells Vogue for its March issue. “Some people were glancing over at us in the restaurant, and he just went over and introduced himself. And it does work. It dissipates all the attention.”
What, that’s not Pattinson’s typical approach? “Me? I just crawl under the table,” he says.
Pattinson, 23, still seems baffled by the absurd nature of fame in today’s unblinking public eye. “Everybody knows where everybody is,” he says. “The Twitter thing is unbelievable.”
And now, of course, with his anonymity totally gone, Pattinson has to deal with hordes of fans even while filming.
“It was the most ridiculous experience,” he says of shooting Remember Me. “You’re trying to stay in character and you’re trying to walk down the street, but all those people keep reminding you that you’re not this character.”
